TZM is a molybdenum-based alloy mainly combining with 0.08% zirconium and 0.5% titanium and 0.03% carbon.

The strength of TZM is two times of pure Molybdenum once the temperature reaches to 1300 degrees Celsius.

Compared with pure molybdenum, TZM has 250 degrees Celsius higher recrystallization temperature and a better weldability.

Industrially, molybdenum is produced for application in high temperature vacuum and argon atmosphere furnaces, piercing mill, punch, dies and nozzles.
